01 Jun Testing 1, 2, 3…
Neither of us are strangers to long hours on the road, and we have both done a fair bit of traveling – I’ve explored a few parts of the world and some of the states, Chloe has been all over the states and road tripped alone. It was hard to decide where and how we should travel – should we each just take a month off of work? But we wanted to fully dive in to this adventure. Neither of us have anything holding us back – we don’t have kids, we don’t have full time jobs, no mortgages to pay – and we keep hearing that now is the time to do it. And hey, guess what? It is now.
Here’s a little introduction for an idea of who we are now… and here’s hoping for our experiences to mold us into better versions of ourselves. We hope to have a few ‘Aha!’ moments paired with those little lightbulbs over our heads… you know, like the ones from the cartoons!
Anyways, hi! I am Chloe
in this whole markieandchloe.com thing, and I am one of the co-conspirators of this little contraption. I am 23 years old (okay, tomorrow I turn 23 – whoop whoop!), and deep, deep down I am very much a Montana woman. As a recent grad from the University of Montana, we decided if we didn’t travel now – we’d never get to do it together, at least not like we plan to…
I have absolutely fallen head over heels for my pup (who I’m sad to separate from for awhile, but she understands), and she has rocked my world upside down – and I mean that literally, she has an ugly obsession with rocks!
Some facts about me: I’m the youngest of four and the only girl so growing up with three older brothers was a blessing and a curse! I’m very competitive… you don’t want to be on the other side of Settlers of Catan against me. I have a baby tattoo and consequently Markie has the same one, a little tree on our outer left wrist. It’s our little thing, so it’s hard to explain… I can be feisty at times, but always with a loving undertone. And my momma always taught me to trust the golden rule:
“Treat others the way you want to be treated.”
mad love for ya,
Oh, hey! I’m Markie,
a recent graduate from the University of Montana, and the other half of this glorious website created by Chloe. I grew up in beautiful Montana, was born close to the border of Canada, but then moved to Missoula, MT. This beautiful city has a special place in my heart, and if you’ve ever been there, you’d understand why.
I love anything outdoors, cold or hot weather. I’m always looking to escape into a good book, one that takes me far away. My ideal day is spending one laughing with friends and family, who have a big grasp on my heart, preferably in a beautiful place… but then again, any place is cozy when you are with ones you love. I’d like to think of myself as an easygoing human being – open to anything.
There’s no time like the present, and who knows what life holds – so it’s time to take a leap, get out of our comfort zone, and go LIVE. You could say I’m a little excited to see all that we can.
